We all love healthy natural hair. But store bought masks are not the answer. Take a look at these homemade DIY ones.
Avocado has a reputation for one of nature’s perfect foods. Its oils will smooth and moisturize your locks without weighing down fine hair. Mash up half an avocado and add two drops of peppermint oil. First shampoo your hair and rinse. Apply mask on damp hair and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly! If you’re not worried about weighing down your hair you can add 1-2 tablespoons of oil, egg yolk or yogurt for better effect.
2.COCONUT OIL MASK
Coconut oil is heavy, which is great for penetrating deep into the hair shaft, but use it sparingly, especially if you have thin hair. Take a tablespoon of coconut oil and apply to the ends of damp hair. If you have extra dry hair, leave it in overnight and shampoo out in the morning.
Mix a banana with one tablespoon of olive oil and mash it into puree. Massage the mixture into your hair and scalp, leave treatment for 30 minutes, then rinse and shampoo. Your hair will be shiny and healthier after a few applications, just remember not to use masks more than twice a week!
4.APPLE CIDER VINEGAR MASK
Combine a table spoon of vinegar and half cup of water. If the smell is too strong, you can add a couple of drops of essential oil. Pour the mask over your hair and comb trough, then rinse and shampoo after 5 minutes. The acidity helps seal the cuticles and give your hair some shine.
Mix up a tablespoon of honey with 1 egg and add quarter cup of water. Apply to your scalp and hair and wait for about 20 minutes before rinsing your hair. Don’t forget the shampoo! Your hair will be smooth and rich in volume.
